Deep ruby color. Great complexity and aromatic freshness, with unusual (but typical of Abandonado vineyards) balsamic and tar notes, licorice and black fruits. Mouth full of harmony, with intensity but also delicacy, minerality and an extraordinary purity of the fruit. One feels the schist of the soils, the surrounding forest, the freshness of the altitude, in a pure expression of the nature of the vineyard. An exercise in pure elegance and class in one of the most iconic vineyards in the Douro and Portugal.
