With a blend of Plantation’s oldest reserves, this rum is something else. The selected Runs aged and from the Caribbean are later meticulously mixed by the master distiller at the Château de Bonbonnet. Then it is matured in small French oak barrels for another 12 to 18 months. The double aging gives the rum an incomparably round and creamy taste. With the color of old mahogany, the Plantation XO reveals a nose with exotic notes of vanilla, oak and roasted coconut, enhanced by more complex cocoa, orange candied aromas and cigar box aromas.

Distilled in 2010 and initially aged for eight years in bourbon barrels at Destilería Sofa, this rum was later transported to Javrezac, France. Here, it matured for an additional four years in Ferrand French oak casks, completing a total of 12 years of aging under two distinct climatic conditions.
This double aging process enhances the complexity and expressiveness of this rum. It captures the rich essence of the Venezuelan terroir and the craftsmanship of Destilería Sofa, blending traditional techniques with the innovation of Plantation Rum. On the nose, it offers a delicate and rich bouquet, featuring nutmeg, honey, vanilla, and mandarin, complemented by coconut, Brazil nuts, coffee, and light floral touches.
On the palate, the rum reveals a spicy and woody profile, with nuances of peanuts, tobacco, almond, oak, and pepper, enriched with crème brûlée, pineapple, and dried banana. The finish is long and dry, marked by flavors of hazelnut, leather, mango, orange, banana, and clove, providing a memorable tasting experience that reflects the true Venezuelan spirit.

Our 6-year-old rum, carefully aged in French oak barrels, has been blended with a 25-year-old rum, certainly one of the last rums to be produced at the old Hinton Mill facility, the latter was also subjected to a new aging process in our casks for another 3 years.
Finally, the product that resulted from this unique combination of rums of different ages was subjected to a final stage with a duration of 9 months.

Mantuano is an excellent rum aged up to eight years in white oak barrels, which used to be used for bourbons and whiskey malt. Made from molasses of sugar cane and honey. Dark golden color, aroma of dried fruits (plums), oak and some spices. End of mouth complex and well balanced, with notes of nuts, wood and vanilla. It concludes with a harmonious and slightly dry finish. Ideal for tasty cocktails such as Mary Pickford and Negroni. It can also be enjoyed neat.
