Bothnia Bay Dry
This gin by the Finnish distillery Shaman Spirits combines both tradition and the latest technology. Years ago, gin was a good resource to harden the long and cold winter, it was distilled for pleasure and served to the workers as compensation. This gin was made by distilling potato instead of grain. The botanics chosen are also different to the traditional ones, collected from pure and wild lands, giving this gin to personal and unique touch. The botanics include berries, vanilla, caramel, honey, liquorice and orange.

The Botanist Islay Dry
The Botanist é um gin realmente incomum. É feito em pequenos lotes de botânicos da ilha de Islay e produzido por uma das destilarias mais famosas, especialmente na produção de Malt Whisky, a Bruichladdich. É o único gin feito na ilha e é caracterizado pelos aroma diferente, obtido através dos 22 botânicos escolhidos localmente e apanhados à mão. São estes botânicos que inspiram seu nome. Os Botânicos são lentamente destilados num alambique - com o simpático nome de "Ugly Betty" - um dos últimos alambiques que ainda existem que permitem três secções diferentes de destilação. A destilação leva cerca de 17 horas, quatro vezes mais do que a média de destilação de um whisky. O gin é destilado após a maceração noturna dos nove botânicos base - que inclui sementes, baga de zimbro, várias cascas de frutos e raízes, e depois "purificados" com a utilização da água da nascente de Islay. Este vapor obtido desta infusão a partir da destilação do álcool, passa através da cesta contendo os 22 botânicos. É esta destilação que dá o gin Botanist o seu sabor característico, permitindo que os mais delicados aromas se incorporem no gin. O sabor do Gin Botanist é influenciada exclusivamente pelos botânicos usados - sem essências, óleos e ou aromas são adicionados. Geralmente o gin tónico The Botanist é feito com uma folha de menta e uma casca de limão.

In 1743 in southern Poland, on the slopes of the Carpathian mountains, a group of seniors discovered that the secret of fine vodka was determined by a single five-stage process of distillation using sweet and late rye from neighboring Wielkopolska fields. This brandy is obtained from an early harvest of Casta Baga, in most of the vineyards, exclusively for the production of brandy, and the decanting of white wines. It is distilled in our still charentais and ages in barrels and new wooden pipes of 50, 100 and 550 liters in the zone of greater thermal amplitude of the winery. It is a brandy of about 10 years.
