This care and attention to detail ensure the exceptional quality of this wine which, after bottling, rests until it reaches the ideal point to be enjoyed.
With a bright ruby color, this wine unfolds on the nose with fresh and complex aromas, highlighting dehydrated red fruit, hints of forest and touches of orange, all delicately wrapped in balsamic notes. In the mouth, it is light, revealing a solid structure, smooth and well-integrated tannins, and a balanced acidity that enhances the presence of the fruit, leading to a seductive, delicate and elegant finish.

The best kept secret of Francisco Costa, better known in the football world as 'Costinha', and António Boal, from Costa Boal Family Estates, a red from old Trás-os-Montes vineyards and named 'Segredo 6'. A 3.5 hectare plot in Mirandela, Trás-os-Montes. This was a wine that aged in new French oak barrels (500 liters) for 16 months, and another year in the bottle. But it still has "great potential" for aging. Contains sulfites.

Blog Bivarietal Red

In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form .
Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential.
Contains Sulfites.
