Quinta de Ventozelo Reserva White
16,00 €
Manual harvest, during the month of September. At the entrance to the winery, the grapes were rigorously selected. This was followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats at low temperatures (15-16º), in order to enhance the fermentative aromas of the varieties. Combined in 300 liter French and Hungarian oak barrels for 6 months. This Reserva displays a very elegant profile. On the nose, citrus aromas stand out, but also notes of apricot and a floral touch. On the palate it has vibrant acidity and structure, with a long, mineral finish. Contains sulfites.

Grapes harvested by hand. The grape is received in the press and the tear must, collected from an open spout, ferments in stainless steel at around 16ºC. After 4 months in vats on fine lees, with light batonnage, the wine is bottled and subjected to a new stage of at least 3 months in bottle until it reaches the market. The color is citrine yellow, very bright. It has an intense and precise nose, reminiscent of orchard flowering, light pollination notes and an orange citrus. It evolves in the mouth towards green fruit, like the apple, but in the end the citruses of lemon predominate. Contains sulfites.
José de Sousa Red

The essentials of small-scale winemaking have changed in recent centuries. In this wine, a small part is made according to this Roman process, the red grapes previously trodden on foot and destemmed by hand on a table called "table of ripanço". The use of cutlery confers spices and a third dimension to wine. After fermentation, the wine has a skin maceration of 4 weeks, followed by 9 months in French and American oak casks. Red color loaded with scented dates, hay, plums, toasted bread, a little clove, oak wood, vanilla, chocolate. Palate with good fruit, good acidity, tannins present but soft. Long end of test.
