Maçanita Vale da Barca White
94,49 €
Explore Maçanita Vale da Barca White, a wine that emerges from the historic vineyards of Carlão, in Cima Corgo, planted in granite soils at 530 meters of altitude, with 140 years of history. This wine, the result of meticulous farming and manual harvesting, is revealed through direct whole-bunch pressing and spontaneous fermentation in barrels, culminating in a 12-month aging period in neutral barrels.
In the glass, a spectacle of aromas unfolds that include ripe grapefruit, fruity nuances, Mediterranean herbs, flint and subtle spicy touches, displaying unparalleled nobility. The perfect reduction gives it additional complexity and tension. On the palate, the wine presents a masterful harmony between the strength of ancient vines, depth and an almost ethereal lightness. Despite its density, it maintains a fresh mineral core, with citrus and fruity notes that emerge gently, accompanied by a refreshing herbal aroma and saline minerality. The elegant tannic structure ensures almost infinite persistence at the end of the tasting.
Maçanita Vale da Barca White is a monument of wine, promising a rich and memorable sensory experience.
Chão dos Eremitas Os Paulistas Red
59,89 €
The Paulistas, name given to the Hermits of the order of São Paulo who made their wine in this place for so long, that this date was lost in the memories. However, the Papal Bull of 1397 exempted “Os Paulistas” from taxes on their vineyards, demonstrating the importance of this location. The place is special and receives two streams that bring water from Serra D’Ossa and keep the water nearby and the soil fresh, with no need for watering for the good development of the grapes. The grapes, also from another time, planted in 1970, Tinta Carvalha, Moreto, Castelão, Alfrocheiro and Trincadeira, demonstrate that there was another Alentejo, without irrigation and without improving varieties. An Alentejo worth recovering, this is our tribute to the Paulistas. Nocturnal manual harvest, selected on a sorting table, 30% whole bunch and 70% destemmed, falling by gravity into the vat. Spontaneous fermentation and maceration between 25 and 40 days, followed by an 18-month aging in French oak barrels with more than three years. Ruby color with some violet touches, medium concentration. On the nose, lots of red forest fruit, some undergrowth. Fresh attack, good fruit with hints of pomegranate. Very thin, long and with structure.

Permitido Rabigato White
13,75 €
With grapes from the Douro Superior, very close to the limit of the demarcated region, namely Vinhas Velhas based on Rabigato, the strength of freshness was combined in a very young wine with great aging capacity. Highlight for the altitude of these vineyards, close to 650m, and the granitic soil, which originate wines with excellent storage capacity. After manual harvesting, and transport to the cellar in small boxes (18kg-20kg), the bunches were destemmed and the grapes underwent a short maceration and fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel vats. Aging for 8 months in stainless steel on fine lees. Aging in bottle for 2 months. This wine presents a white fruit on the nose with great intensity, fresh notes and very aromatic. A well-balanced wine in the mouth with a very long, persistent body and endless freshness. Contains sulfites.
Joseph Drouhin Clos de Mouches Red
100,68 €
Manual harvest, in small open boxes to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The maceration and winemaking takes 2 to 3 weeks. Maceration and fermentation temperatures under total control. Joseph Drouhin seeks full control of the extraction process; the extraction gives color and substance to a wine, but it should never be detrimental to its delicacy and typical character. An exceptional wine, deep ruby ??red in color, with the lively shine of the great Burgundies. Intense and fresh nose for young wines. The primary notes of red fruits dominate, such as Morello cherry, raspberry, blackberry. There are notes of complexity with smoky flavors that evolve into licorice. When the wine is maturing, aromas of pepper, tobacco, humus and undergrowth appear. When drinking wine, the first impression is always crisp and the texture fleshy. The body is firm without being rough, well geared without being heavy. In younger wines there is great freshness. With age, wine becomes round. It acquires "gras" (velvety texture) and a more precise architecture, supported by silky tannins. It is alive and at the same time exquisite. A final and very pleasant sensation of harmony, fullness and delicate tannins remains, as the wine lingers on the palate. Contains sulfites.
