A wine that presents itself with 17 and a half degrees of alcohol content, is only made when the maturation of the grape allows it. Despite the high degree, the wine is surprisingly fresh. Vinification in stainless steel vats and aging for 20 months in 500L used French oak barrels. Contains sulfites.

In concrete vats, for 6 months, where the micro-oxygenation conditions, unique to this type of deposit, respect and enhance the wine's character, followed by aging in the bottle for a minimum of 4 months. Clear appearance, ruby color. Blue fruit notes, spice and mineral nuances. Hand-picked grapes, reception with total destemming and crushing immediately. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature between 16-17ºC for a period of about 20 days. Aging with lees agitation - 'batonnage' for 15 days, followed by aging in bottle for 5 months. Refreshing citrus notes of grapefruit, lime, tangerine peel and passion fruit. Fresh and mineral in the mouth with a strong presence of citrus and discreet ginger. Contains Sulfites.

All the grapes are hand-picked, carefully selected on a mat of choice and trodden in lagares where they ferment for 7 to 10 days at temperatures from 22ºC to 27ºC. New 225L Allier French oak barrels (François Frères, Taransaud, and others), where malolactic fermentation takes place and is aged for 18 months. Quinta Vale D. Maria Vinha do Rio has a fruity nose, with various spices, tobacco, and light notes of chocolate and great intensity. In the mouth, the wine is textured, surprisingly fresh, with great vigor, extremely tasty and with smooth and silky tannins. Contains sulfites.
