With a careful distillation and aging process in the unique climate of Tennessee, the whiskey interacts intensely with white oak barrels, giving it a woody flavor and color. Its hot and spicy flavors are created using a pioneering technique from the Glenfiddich Distillery's fourth Malt Master, David Stewart, which continues to be used today. Aged in European, American, and American filler oak casings to carefully release the virgin flavors of the hull, whiskey is then matured in the Solera tub before marrying in Portuguese oak casks.
