Plantation Guyana Vintage 2007

Discover the Plantation Guyana Vintage 2007, a gem from the Plantation Rum Vintage Collection, meticulously selected by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel. With over 30 years of experience, Alexandre explores the various rum terroirs around the world, seeking the finest barrels from the most prestigious distilleries in the Caribbean, Latin America, and Oceania. This rum is the result of these explorations, offering an exceptional and unique flavor profile.
Made from molasses, with a one-week fermentation and distilled using a blend of Port Mourant pot still and column still, the rum was distilled in 2007. It aged for 13 years in 200L bourbon barrels in the tropics, followed by 2 years in 350L Ferrand casks in Europe, gaining deep and rich complexity.
On the nose, it is intense and rich, with pastry notes of cocoa and almond, vanilla, and lime peel. The palate is rich and oily, following the nose with hints of flowers and orange, tobacco, raisins, berries, almond, and hazelnut, complemented by deep notes of balsamic and molasses, almost smoky, with leather and medicinal ginseng. The finish is very long, spicy, and fresh, with pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, licorice, and chocolate.

The palate is rich and delicate with flavors of clover honey, licorice, beeswax, vanilla fudge, and prune.
