This typically floral wine, presents aromas of violets so characteristic of this terroir, with some secondary aromas of rockrose, well creased and elegant, reflecting the freshest profile of the year. Flavors of ripe black fruits, expressive and round at the same time, fill the palate, with polished tannins complementing the fruit and providing harmony to the structure. Bottled in May 2021, without filtration.

The Vintage Messias 2007 has a dark color and is complex in terms of smell, although the presence of red fruits is clearly noticeable. In the mouth it conveys strength and robustness, being a wine with an excellent taste balance where well-balanced tannins predominate, ending in a long and pleasant finish. It can be drunk now, but it does foresee a notable evolution in the bottle.

Dow's Ports come from Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira: both estates were originally acquired by the company in the 19th century and today they produce some of the greatest wines in the Douro. Offley Boa Vista Vintage 2011 Ruby

After gentle crushing with partial destemming, a very intense maceration was followed during the period of alcoholic fermentation, with which it was intended to obtain the highest possible extraction of the quality constituents in the films. This maceration is obtained through the steps of traditional granite winches, with controlled temperature at about 28ºC. During this phase not only a strict control of the fermentation temperatures, but also of the density was chosen, thus choosing the ideal moment for the addition of the neutral wine spirit necessary for the stop of fermentation. Very intense, of an almost opaque dark red . Aromatically very rich, the black fruit like plum, the balsamic aromas of resin and cedar, and some floral notes of the "subois", as well as spices such as cloves and nutmeg, stand out on the nose. In the mouth it has an excellent volume, good acidity, lively but well integrated tannins, and notes of black fruit, in particular the plum again, but also cherry. Its end is long and intense. Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the affluent Torto River. The oldest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759. The grapes of the estate are located at low altitude with sun exposure from north to south, providing Ports and Douro wines intense, concentrated and full of character and elegance.
