Dow's, a jewel of the Symington family, carries a centuries-old heritage in the production of Port Wine. The roots of this tradition lie in Quintas do Bomfim and Senhora da Ribeira, acquired in the 19th century. In these privileged lands in the Douro Valley, Dow's Ports are born, recognized as among the most excellent wines in the region.
Dow's Quinta do Bomfim Vintage 2013 Ruby stands out for its vibrant aromas of black currant and licorice, enriched by floral notes and cistus, with a delicate touch of mint that brings freshness and a subtle peppery spice to the nose. When tasting, it reveals an explosion of intense, compact and juicy wild fruits, a true symphony of flavors.
This Port Wine is a perfect choice to enjoy in moments of pure pleasure, whether accompanying chocolate desserts or pairing with blue cheeses. For a complete experience, decanting is recommended before serving, allowing the wine to reveal all its complexity and elegance. Messias Vintage 2009 Ruby
44,88 €
Wine fermented with partial destemming at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC). When the must reaches the desired sweetness value, fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy (77%), later aging in oak wood, in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia until it is bottled, between the 2nd and 3rd year, after of approved. Opaque dark red wine, on the nose it is a complex and somewhat closed wine, where hints of tea and cocoa stand out. In the mouth it is a wine with immense structure, very concentrated and with very pleasant tannins. Wine with immense aging potential.
