Moscatel 70 Years from Adega Cooperativa de Favaios, created from the best seven harvests since its foundation, one per decade (1964, 1975, 1980, 1999, 2007, 2011 and 2020), is a hymn to the art of blending wines and also to the true muscat of the Douro. The Moscatel Galego variety, unlike the Moscatel de Setúbal, found in the freshness of the altitude (between 550 and 600 meters) and in the fertile soils of the Favaios-Alijó plateau the perfect place to express all its aromatic richness and acidic freshness. The Favaios 10 Anos is a lot wine in which only the best Moscatel harvests are used for its constitution. In the years when nature allows conditions for the caste Moscatel express itself in all its splendor are made some fermentations with a careful selection of grapes. The fermentation takes about three days with intense skin maceration and temperature controlled to 15-16 ° C. The wine spirit is then added to the grapes and must stopped fermenting in order to obtain a wine with high alcohol content and residual sugar.
