Castello D’Alba Reserva Red

Manual harvesting, reception with total destemming and crushing immediately, the grapes are fermented by grape varieties and batches, so that from a very early age a rigorous selection can be made that will later give rise to the “blend”, very traditional from the old world, reveals the art of selecting grapes by parcels and the art of selecting wines for blending. Fermentation takes place in small capacity stainless steel vats, with temperatures around 28 ºC. Smooth and controlled macerations in order to obtain elegant and aromatic wines. Part of the lot is aged for a period of 12 months in predominantly French oak, with a small percentage of American wood. Intense aroma of great complexity, aromas of forest fruits and cistus from Touriga Franca, spices and red fruits from Tinta Roriz and very fresh and elegant violet floral notes from Touriga Nacional. In the mouth it is sweet and enveloping, with very smooth noble tannins, long and warm finish. Contains Sulfites.

Crochet is a four-handed wine that faithfully translates the colossal and untamed spirit of the Douro. A wine made by two friends, Susana Esteban and Sandra Tavares da Silva, winemakers who share not only a relationship of deep friendship but a common passion for wine and a sensitivity and visions similar to what the Douro can and can offer. Two winemakers who joined efforts to produce this Douro wine that brings together the feeling and the common experience of many harvests together and separated. Manual fermentation in 15 kg boxes with strict selection at the entrance of the cellar. Vinification in stainless steel with post fermentation maceration. Stage of 18 months in French oak barrels 40% new and 60% second year. Red color retinta. Fruity but compact, almost monolithic, it alternates between the delicacy of the fruit and an intensely mineral profile surprising for the softness of the tannins, the aromatic depth and the vehemence of the structure. Tense and serious, it is a rigorous and well-educated red that presents itself fine and elegant. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta de Chocapalha Red

The grapes, previously destemmed, underwent a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperatures for 12 hours. The alcoholic fermentation was done in mills, with temperature control, not exceeding 27ºC, during 10 days, with the use of robot to step. The wine aged for 18 months in second and third use French oak barrels. Deep color of violet tonally, with good concentration in the nose. Rich in aroma, with notes of ripe black fruit and spices combined with floral notes. In the mouth it looks elegant and fresh, with an excellent tannins-acidity combination, and a long, smooth and elegant finish. Contains Sulfites.

Carm Grande Reserva Red

Total destemming, gentle crushing and thermal shock, followed by a period of cold pre-fermentative maceration in the mill for about 12 to 24 hours. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally, part of the wine carried out this fermentation in wood. On the nose, very fresh and intense where the notes of wild fruits and black cherries predominate in balance with seductive “nuances of Liquorice”, the aroma being complexed by the notes of wood. In the mouth it is concentrated, warm, with firm tannins and smooth texture, a very intense and persistent finish showing the strength of Douro Superior wines. Contains sulfites.
