Quinta da Rede Vinha do Pinheiro White

Discover Quinta da Rede Vinha do Pinheiro White, a distinguished wine from the Lower Corgo subregion in the Douro. Produced from a selection of indigenous grape varieties including Arinto, Gouveio, and Viosinho, this wine is the result of meticulous care from vineyard to bottle.
The vinification process begins with manual grape selection, followed by total destemming and cold skin maceration for 8 hours. Fermentation takes place in lightly toasted French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 15ºC, and the wine matures "sur lies" for 12 months in new 500L barrels, adding complexity and elegance.
With an intense citrine color and greenish reflections, it reveals aromas of ripe peach and orange accompanied by smoky notes and a hint of wet stone on the nose. The palate is notable for its volume and balanced body, ending with a crisp freshness that promises longevity. Ideal for pairing with fatty fish, all variants of cod, grilled white meats, and soft sheep cheeses, it should be served at 12ºC.

The grapes that make up this wine were destemmed and fermented in an open press with manual treading. Malolactic fermentation and prolonged aging of 20 months in new (70%) and used barrels, both in French oak. Naturally stabilized wine during prolonged aging in barrels. 1400 bottles were produced. Complex and well-defined aroma, with notes of ripe cherry, blueberry and light floral traces. Cedarwood, forest floor, tobacco box and spice add aromatic complexity. In the mouth it proves to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting well the limestone soils from which it comes. It is simultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine, with a long and persistent finish.

Manual harvest. Manual choice of curls. Destemming and slight crushing of the berries. The grapes were fermented in granite presses using foot treading. Subsequently, the wine aged in French oak barrels for 19 months. After the batch is formed, we carry out a light gluing and then bottling. The wine rested for 1 year before being marketed. All our wines are sealed with natural cork. The wines are neither filtered nor stabilized by the cold, so they can give rise to a precipitate with age. Contains sulfites.
