Tapada de Coelheiros Red
24,80 €
The grapes were harvested manually and transported to the cellar where they were destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 26–27°C. After finishing, we kept the wine in post-fermentation maceration for 5 days. The malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in a stainless steel tank and then it was transferred to barrels where it remained for 18 months. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and 36 months in bottle. Powerful nose with notes of black fruit wrapped in spices and tobacco. In the mouth, the intensity of the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon stands out, followed by the creamy texture of Alicante Bouschet, which leads us to an elegant and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.

Manual harvest into small 15 kg perforated boxes, fermentation in a reductive environment, using very gentle crushing and pressing processes under an inert atmosphere in order to preserve all the aromatic potential of the grapes. A great effort is made to ensure that all pre-fermentation operations are carried out with the utmost rigor, being responsible for the intrinsic quality of the future wine. The entirety of the wine ferments in stainless steel vats and remains there after a small racking on fine lees with periodic “battonage” preparation until the final batch is made. Aging in stainless steel vats with preparation of fine lees - 'batonnâge' until bottling. Great concentration and aromatic purity, with mineral character in balance with discreet notes of exotic fruits and citrus. Blog Bivarietal Red

In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form .
Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential.
Contains Sulfites.
