Vinha d’Ervideira White
8,95 €
Mechanical and night harvest. The process goes from caste to caste. Antão Vaz grapes are destemmed, lightly pressed in a vacuum. After defecation, they ferment at a controlled temperature between 10o and 12oC. Arinto grapes are destemmed and sent, without crushing, to “vinimatics”, for skin maceration between 6 and 10 hours. Subsequently, they are pressed and sent to the cold room. Wine of citrus tones, with notes of tropical fruits, light quince jam and mineral notes. Elegant in the mouth, it shows good acidity and a striking structure, which prolongs the tasting. Contains sulfites.
Covela Reserva White
24,57 €
Manual harvesting, organized by vineyard parcels to ensure harvesting at the right time. Transport of grapes in small boxes to avoid crushing. Manual selection of curls. Cold skin maceration. Total destemming followed by gentle pressing. Spontaneous fermentation in oak casks from the Austrian and French forests. Stage on the total slurry, with periodic batonnage, without stabilization, nor filtration. Bright citrus color. Aroma expressive,? Oral with notes of tropical fruits and good intensity. But with interesting complexity thanks to the signs of the granite minerality of the region. Dry is the mouth. A well balanced acidity. The typical minerality of the region is present. Although fresh and refreshing, this wine has notes of peach, apricot and has a certain creaminess. Long and elegant finish, it is a wine with a strong personality. Contains Sulfites.
Quinta da Pellada Alto Red
53,10 €
The Quinta da Pellada Alto was aged for 28 months in French oak use room. This is one of a trio of wines, this issue that owner Álvaro Castro has issued with old style labels as an exercise in terroir. This is a field mix of the highest plot (although in less than 10 meters - the differences are more in the soil); The House is the "most exposed" corner, with a different kind of soil; and the "49" is the middle pack. Its elegance makes it look lighter, but it is much more concentrated than the first taste would suggest. It has excellent fineness of the middle palate, full of flavor, well rolled and beautifully constructed.
