Explore Arinto dos Açores Solera White, a wine that captures the essence of a unique terroir, located in the middle of the Atlantic, on the slopes of the Pico volcano. Quinta de Arcossó Reserva White is an exceptional example, the result of a careful selection of grapes from two different parcels. The first, a 2.5-hectare plot, is part of a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, while the second, 5 hectares, is part of a set of 8 hectares planted between 2016 and 2017. Both are located on generous slopes, at altitudes of 400 and 500 meters, respectively, facing South and Southeast, with significant slopes and granite soil, guaranteeing the excellence of the raw material.
The vinification of this White Reserve is carried out with meticulous care, where around 40% of the alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, accompanied by "bâtonnage" over 10 months. This process gives the wine a unique complexity and richness, evident in its multifaceted aroma, which combines fruity nuances with a very subtle touch of wood and distinct notes of wet stone, adding depth to its taste profile. After bottling, the wine is carefully aged in the bottle for 4 months, ensuring the evolution and perfection of its character.
Upon tasting, Quinta de Arcossó Reserva White reveals a full body, fresh and at the same time unctuous, a true delight for the palate. The finish surprises with a hint of salinity, making each sip a unique and memorable experience. Sharing moments, ideas and experiences with other winemakers or people related to wine is something that Susana Esteban always liked and encouraged. And for this reason he decided to create the Sidecar brand. Every year the producer and winemaker will challenge a friend to make a wine in his cellar in Mora. They will decide how to interpret the fantastic vineyards of the region and as the project's mentor says, they will be driving the bike! For the second edition of the Sidecar invited two friends, the oenologist Filipa Pato and the sommelier William Wouters. An interesting trio, and that above all, makes sense! It decided to join a field blend of traditional varieties of Serra de São Mamede, a cooler and higher altitude zone of the Alentejo, with a Berry of a century-old vineyard of Bairrada, zone influenced by the Atlantic. The wines fermented and stamped both in amphora.

The grapes are chilled and then pressed in a pneumatic press. Cold decanting, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel barrels and vats with regular buffering up to one month before bottling. Aging 6 months in new and used French oak barrels (30% of wine) and stainless steel vats (70%), with regular bâtonnage. It is a rich and concentrated white wine, but very precisely in citrus fruit and notorious minerality. Contains Sulfites.
