The grapes from several very old vineyards in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro (Mêda) were pressed in whole bunches, in order to extract the freshest and most vibrant must possible. Keeping the origin of each vineyard, the musts followed the alcoholic fermentation in new 500L French oak barrels. Fermentation process from indigenous yeasts, brings more complexity and character to wines. Long maturation on total lees (12 months). Malolactic partials make up the Burgundian-inspired route. Concise, elegant, frank, expressive. Fresh citrus notes with great notoriety, lime, grapefruit, flower, white fruit, irreproachable trace of pure minerality. Wide mouth, serious, exuberant acidity, salty, long trace. Contains sulfites.

The grapes for this wine come from a vineyard planted at an altitude of 571 meters. Grapes harvested by grape varieties and plots in boxes of 20 kg and placed in the cold at 5-6º C. After being fully destemmed they are crushed. The must was subtly pressed and decanted until it reached the necessary clarity. Fermentation and subsequent full aging in 500 liter barrels, 60% new and 40% used. The lees were removed every month to keep them in suspension. After eight months, the final blend was made and the wine was pasted before being bottled. With a citrus color, the wine is initially very discreet and complex with mineral notes evolving later to some fresh and floral notes, more discreet and elegant. In the mouth it is fresh, with a present acidity and very balanced. Fine, complex and very elegant, it shows an excellent balance between alcohol, fruit and acidity, and a lively, fine and quite long finish. Contains Sulfites.

The "Premium" line of Quinta da Pellada wines has long been an icon of Dão wines. For Álvaro Castro, the viticulture and the characteristics of each year are that shape each harvest, however, dedication and alertness are essential so that nature can be "protected", in order to exercise the minimum of human intervention in the elaboration of each one of their wines. This field blend, which joins castes from Quinta da Pellada and Casa da Passarella, has been staging for 14 months in allier oak casks. Intense ruby color, very concentrated in the aroma, modern and vigorous style. In the mouth, compote and game notes in which the final toasted notes leave a pleasant memory. Tannins fine and of good quality, everything very well proportioned, giving it a great complexity. Contains Sulfites.
