The grapes from several very old vineyards in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro (Mêda) were pressed in whole bunches, in order to extract the freshest and most vibrant must possible. Keeping the origin of each vineyard, the musts followed the alcoholic fermentation in new 500L French oak barrels. Fermentation process from indigenous yeasts, brings more complexity and character to wines. Long maturation on total lees (12 months). Malolactic partials make up the Burgundian-inspired route. Concise, elegant, frank, expressive. Fresh citrus notes with great notoriety, lime, grapefruit, flower, white fruit, irreproachable trace of pure minerality. Wide mouth, serious, exuberant acidity, salty, long trace. Contains sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Dente D'Ouro spent 16 months in used French oak barrels. The wine is composed of several native grape varieties, mainly Jaen and Baga. The grapes come from a very old vineyard with vineyards, which are between 80 and 100 years old. It is very important for Alvaro Castro to show that it is indeed possible to revive the tradition of blends of native fields and vines in his Dao area. The wine shines with ruby red with violet nuances. It shows a beautiful fresh and mineral scent, thin and incredibly complex, with notes of blackberry and plum. On the palate, a medium concentration, blueberry aromas, notes of spices and some earthy notes, plus unlikely silky tannins, absolutely attractive.
