The grapes were harvested manually for small boxes of 20kg, with selection in the vineyard. The grapes were again selected on the carpet of choice, cooled to the entrance of the cellar and immediately pressed. Part of the resulting wort was transferred to new French oak barrels, where it completed the fermentation and where it remained about 6 months. The rest of the wine, about 3/5, fermented and staged only in stainless steel. Citrus yellow color, floral aroma with light toasted notes and perception of granite. In the mouth it is unctuous with citric notes and a lively acidity. Ends long and vibrant.

Herdade do Peso Essência Red

After malolactic fermentation the wines were tranferred separately to new barrels (60%) and 4 years (40%) of French oak, where they trained for about 12 months until the final batch. After bottling, a temperature controlled stage of 15ºC is followed for 6 months in order to achieve the appropriate balance for its consumption. To preserve its great quality, it was bottled without treatment by the cold and without glue so that a slight deposit can form in the bottle. The elegance and balance of the Herdade do Peso Essência 2014 make this wine the perfect accompaniment to the tasty meat dishes of the rich Alentejo gastronomy.

Pintas Character Red
26,01 €
Little brother of the consecrated Pintas, this is a wine that inherits its complexity giving it a more vigorous and seductive profile. With a slightly shorter stage and less percentage of new wood, its floral and fruity notes stand out strategically. Like people, vineyards also have different facets to explore. More lively and fresh, the Pintas Character is thus the expression of the younger side of the same 80-year-old vine that the Pintas produces.
Violet color very intense. Fruity and mineral with fresh notes of black cherry, plum and berries. Vigorous in the mouth with well integrated and velvety tannins associated with excellent fruit. Contains Sulfites.
Quinta da Pellada Muleta Red

The 2015 wine year in Dão was marked by drier winter than the previous year and the rain that fell in early spring allowed some soil water reserves to support the plant during the dry spring and summer months. an early year in July, the vineyard was already in the painter phase, with the harvest beginning one week earlier than the previous year. The wine Quinta da Pellada Muleta is the result of the effort to conserve the genetic heritage that exists in the Dão region. Fermentation in mill, stage in barrels 225l with 10 years and bottled in May 2017 by gravity without filter. Minilismalist intervention to conserve the characteristics of the vineyard. Ruby color of good concentration. The aroma is very elegant, slightly floral, with notes of wild fruit and some menthol. In the mouth, it is alive, and with acidity. Fresh fruit and spicy flavors are involved in a refreshing mineral profile. It presents a good volume of mouth, without being heavy, offering a perfumed, long and very balanced finish.
