Maçanita Vinha Centenária Branco

Produtor Azores Wine Company

102,74

Produced from a vineyard over 100 years old, dominated by Arinto dos Açores, but also containing Verdelho, Boal (Malvasia Fina), and Alicante Branco (Boal de Alicante). Hand-harvested, selection on a sorting table, direct pressing, cold decanted for 12 hours, first pressings vinified in stainless steel in a horizontal tank, second pressings fermented in French oak barrels of 3 years’ use, without batônnage for 9 months. Citrine-straw color, iodine, salt, and linden aromas. On the palate, a dense, concentrated attack, acidity cuts through the middle and stays until the finish, salt and iodine—it’s a “slap” of the sea. Contains sulfites.
