Introducing the Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Red, an authentic expression of the Douro essence. This wine is the result of meticulous vinification that begins with the manual harvesting of grapes on the varied slopes of the estate, covering both northern and southern terroirs.
The process starts with the careful selection of the best grapes from old vines, followed by destemming and traditional foot treading in granite lagares. Fermentation is conducted under controlled temperatures to preserve the distinct characteristics of the must. Aging for 12 months in mostly used French oak barrels adds complexity and depth to the wine.
This reserve features an aromatic profile of blue fruits and graphite notes, complemented by the elegance of old vines and the richness of Touriga Nacional. Medium-bodied, it offers smooth tannins and a long, spiced finish with vibrant, well-integrated acidity. It is the perfect accompaniment to robust dishes like bacalhau à lagareiro, standing out as a classic reinvented.

The Alvarinho grapes, produced according to the concepts of organic farming where we protect the wine-growing ecosystem, promoting biodiversity and environmental sustainability, are harvested manually in the older vineyards with more than 40 years of existence in Quinta de Soalheiro, the First Vineyards. Currently, we still have a selection of Alvarinho grapes planted in Pé-franco. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. After pressing, the decanted w decants for 48 hours, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature. The fermentation takes place essentially in stainless steel (about 15% of the total volume is fermented in used oak barrels), with maintenance of the fine lees until the beginning of May, the month in which the bottling takes place. In this harvest we also integrate into the Alvarinho lot with a large oak kite stage. Citrine yellow color, elegant and full aroma that grows in the glass, becoming more and more persistent. The flavor is full-bodied, fresh and with great gustatory complexity. Contains Sulfites.

Manual harvest and then transported in boxes. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature of 14ºC. The wine remains during the aging in stainless steel vats with its fine lees, in order to guarantee some complexity and natural longevity of the wine. This delicious wine reveals an attractive floral and fruity exuberance, with fresh and citrus aromas, reminiscent of orange blossom, orange peel and rose. In the mouth, it shows strong minerality and the same exuberance that we find in the nose, in a lively, elegant and fresh style. It is the ideal partner for sushi, seafood and salads.
