Buçaco Colheita Rose
36,89 €
At the beginning of the 19th century, a fascinating story emerged in the world of Portuguese Wine: the launch of an icon, a desired wine, but always discreetly kept away from the spotlight.
Alexandre de Almeida innovated by combining luxury hospitality with a wine cellar and his own wine, creating the rare and historic Buçaco wines, produced at Palácio do Bussaco, in the mountains north of Coimbra.
These wines, preserving traditions without adopting modernism, reveal a notable aging potential and can last in the bottle for decades.

Manual harvest. Manual choice of curls. Destemming and slight crushing of the berries. The grapes were fermented in granite vats with foot treading, stainless steel vats and new 500l French oak barrels. Each of these types of fermentation gives the wine a particular style. Deep ruby color, aroma Intense, complex and deep, developing in layers. Red fruits, bushy notes and spices. Soft attack, full-bodied, burst of fruit. It shows all its splendor in the mouth. Excellent texture, present but very fine tannins. Very long finish. Very gastronomic profile. Contains sulfites.

Mariposa Reserva Magnum Red
27,46 €
The grapes were harvested manually into small boxes of 20 kg, with selection in the vineyard. The composition of the blend varies with the production of each variety in the vineyard. After total destemming, the grapes go to a traditional granite mill, where they macerate for about 48 hours, with temperature control. Fermentation is slow, under controlled temperature, and pumping over is done by foot treading. This wine ages for 1 year in used 225 and 500L French oak barrels. It presents a deep ruby color, with lilac hints. Complex aroma, with notes of wild berries and spices, showing a very present Touriga Nacional and well integrated barrel notes. In the mouth it is full and ripe, with firm but satin tannins. Contains Sulfites.

Blog Bivarietal Red

In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form .
Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential.
Contains Sulfites.
