Matured with the Solera process, then aged in American white oak barrels, which gives it a very soft and round aroma, but in some of these barrels walnuts, almond husk and peach were added and then the rum ripened in them giving it a unique flavor.

Originating from Barbados, Mauritius, and the Fiji Islands, this rum is crafted from molasses and cane juice, fermented from 3 days to 3 weeks, and distilled in pot and column stills. It ages for several years in Bourbon barrels in the tropics before spending an additional year in Ferrand casks in Europe, gaining unique complexity.
On the nose, it opens gently and richly with notes of pear, quince jelly, and gooseberry, enhanced by hints of smoky molasses. The palate is rich and delicate with flavors of clover honey, licorice, beeswax, vanilla fudge, and prune. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of cooked apple, tonka bean, and dried banana—a true celebration of craftsmanship and the adventurous spirit.

Amber with reddish tones, copper and ocher. Complex, fine and complete. Persistent woody notes. The dry woody tones provide a rich and intense aroma. Rich flavor of toast, dried fruit and caramel. Very enjoyable. A smooth texture and a complex and persistent evolution with oak notes. Smooth, inviting cocoa feel. Cognac type finish.

This rum was made exclusively in the Copper Pot Still which was taken to the Diplomatico's La Miel Distillery in 1959. This batch distillation system was originally used in Scotland to produce whiskey.
