Manual harvest. Total destemming. Prolonged maceration in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperature for 15 days. Transfer to new and used 225L French oak barrels for 12 months, where malolactic fermentation took place. 12 months of aging in bottle before going to the market. Deep red color. Wild berries and deep complexity with well integrated wood. In the mouth it shows intense concentration, with firm tannins and excellent structure. Its acidity gives freshness and balance to the wine and a very long finish. The power and elegance of Dão in perfect harmony. This wine will age beautifully in the bottle. Perfectly accompanies duck confit, foie gras, oven-roasted veal, roasted kid, sausages. Contains sulfites.
Vinha de Santa Maria Granítico White
Manual harvest. Grapes from a single vine of the Encruzado variety. Total destemming and pressing. Selection of grape must and after cooling and decanting at low temperature for 24 hours. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature and around 15ºC for 20 days under indigenous yeasts. This wine has no influence of aging in barrel. Crystalline in color with greenish nuances, this wine shows the authenticity of the grape variety, in a fresh and elegant way. Notes of pear and white flowers in the aroma. With a good volume in the mouth and structured, showing the toast of the barrel in harmony with an almost crunchy acidity and citric character.
Sandeman Vintage 2018 Ruby
Deep, almost opaque color. Aroma of excellent complexity, with notes of spices, adding curry, pepper, ginger, red fruits and black fruits. The wine has a light touch of cocoa with a slightly stony finish, the result of good maturation. In the mouth it is intense and complex with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins with a very long and highly concentrated finish. Contains sulfites.
Sandeman Vintage 2016 Ruby
Outstanding for its exceptional features, the Sandeman Porto Vintage 2016 is a wine that will age in the bottle for 30 or 40 years. This excellent Vintage Porto 2016 is an example of Sandeman's commitment to the quality of Port wine. This wine has an opaque, almost black color. The aroma is intense and complex, with prominent notes of ripe black fruit, resin as well as notes of cocoa and chocolate as a result of its excellent maturation. Great volume on the palate with a vibrant, fresh acidity, firm, high-quality tannins, floral notes of stew and notes of black fruit and chocolate. A great invitation for the very long and elegant finale. Using the traditional technology of Port Wine, this wine was vinified in the Quinta do Seixo winery, grapes originating both there and in Quinta do Vau. In addition to the selection process, the grapes were subjected to crushing and stalking before undergoing a very intense maceration during alcoholic fermentation, by treading on granite wineries at controlled temperatures automatically. The balance and harmony of this wine, as well as its body and structure, result from the selection of the best grapes, the intensity of the maceration and the choice of the right moment to stop the fermentation.
