This wine that comes from the south of the Douro border, granite soils, mixes several white and red varieties. Hand-picked grapes for small boxes, perfectly matured. The bunches were placed whole in a stainless steel tank. The fermentation began within the grapes, and only then the masses were pressed and the fermentation finished. Most of the wine staged in the stainless steel tank, only 20% was staged for 10 months in used barrels. The grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery where they were de-stemmed. Alcoholic fermentation took place in a stainless steel tank at 26–27°C. Once finished, we kept the wine in post-fermentation maceration for 5 days. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in a stainless steel tank and was then transferred to barrels where it remained for 18 months. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels and 36 months in bottle. Powerful nose with notes of black fruit wrapped in spices and tobacco. Quintas de Borba Grand Reserve Red

This wine comes from selected grapes in the oldest vineyards in the Borba region. After rigorous control of the maturation evolution of the grapes in the vineyard, upon arrival at the winery the grapes were de-stemmed and gently crushed, followed by the alcoholic fermentation process in a stainless steel press, with mechanical treading, ending in maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 22-25ºC. Malolactic fermentation took place in a small stainless steel tank. Aging for 12 months in new French, American and brown oak barrels prior to bottling and a final aging in the cellar for 12 months in bottle. Garnet color. Aroma of black fruit jam. Full flavor with soft, fruity and toasted tannins, with final freshness and sweet cocoa.
