Manual harvest. Transport of grapes in boxes. Alcoholic fermentation: Maceration in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 26ºC and 28ºC. Very short stage in used French oak casks. A grape variety usually destined for Port Wines or for Douros by lot. Usually it produces less complex wines, and is only useful for batching. It is rarely bottled on its own because it has no structure capable of withstanding aging in the bottle. Relieve an intense fruity, in the mouth press for harmony. Aged in French oak barrels for 1 year. With an intense garnet color and ripe tannins, this wine is powerful and deeply fruity. The concentrated aromas of wild fruits and the subtle notes of wood, due to its aging, make this wine complex and rich. It is balanced, full-bodied, with a persistent finish. Contains sulfites.

Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the affluent Torto River. The oldest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759. The grapes of the estate are located at low altitude with sun exposure from north to south, providing Ports and Douro wines intense, concentrated and full of character and elegance. After 24 hours of cold maceration, to enrich in aromas, the fermentation took place for 10 days at 24ºc, with “delestage” to facilitate the extraction of color and tannins that contribute to the body and mouth volume. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels. Deep red color, aroma marked by ripe fruits such as black plum, black pepper, spices and cocoa. Confirms the black fruits and cocoa well matched with the elegance of French oak. Filipa Pato Nossa Missão Red
Missão, is a small centennial vineyard of 0.57 hectares with pre-phylloxeric vines of over 100 years. Production is limited to only 500 bottles and 30 magnums. It is located on a gentle slope with east orientation, the soil is of limestone origin from the Lower Jurassic era, with reddish clay. The cultivation and harvesting are totally manual and the sorting of the grapes is done in the vineyard itself. A part of the grapes are destemmed, and the percentage of whole grapes depends on the conditions of each harvest. Fermentation takes place slowly for about 3 weeks, with indigenous yeasts, the flow is smooth and long. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine drains by gravity and the masses are pressed. The whole fills only a traditional 500 liter kite where it stays for 18 months in our basement. The "Missão" is a remarkable wine for its pure expression of Berry. While young, the aromas resemble violet and strawberry. After 7-9 years, the aromas become more complex with a lot of energy and concentration. The tannins, although very alive, are soft, lively acidity, long finish, irreverent and elegant. It is a wine with long aging potential. Contains Sulfites.

The character of the vineyards of the Serra de São Mamede is very present in this wine, bringing freshness and minimality. This wine that comes from the south of the Douro border, granite soils, mixes several white and red varieties. Hand-picked grapes for small boxes, perfectly matured. The bunches were placed whole in a stainless steel tank. The fermentation began within the grapes, and only then the masses were pressed and the fermentation finished. Most of the wine staged in the stainless steel tank, only 20% was staged for 10 months in used barrels. Aroma of forest fruits, silk tannins, lively acidity that surprises and brings a lot of freshness and vibration. Contains Sulfites.

Produced from the Baga and Chardonnay varieties. The Chardonnay variety contributes its aromatic complexity and the Berry with the structure and persistence of a blanc de noir. In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form .
Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential.
