Each Grand Vintage is unique, expressing Moët & Chandon's Cellar Master's personal interpretation of the year. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2015 evokes an awakening, the first rays of a day full of promise – a luminous morning aura. The 76th vintage in the Maison's history, it is an initiation into Moët & Chandon's journey of light. The initial notes of breadcrumbs, fresh brioche and almond paste give way to elderflower and jasmine, then to fruits such as white peach and watermelon. Early morning garrigue notes complete the set.

Traditional creeping vineyards, close to the ground protected from strong winds by reeds or crochet walls. Limestone soils with sandy loam texture. Pale yellow color, intense nose, saline, mineral, gunpowder and iodine notes. In the good attack full, textured, the aromas are repeated in the retonasal. Super persistent.

Made with grapes from vineyards aged between 4 and 50 years, from the Códega do Larinho, Rabigato and Viosinho varieties, among others. Partially fermented in new French oak barrels, with 3 months of battonage, having aged 7 months in barrel. The other part was fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature.

Pre-fermentative maceration and fermentation with temperature control in a cement vat. 6 months in used barrel with total sur lie. Citrus color, white fruit and lychees, full-bodied, fresh and elegant and long (with great potential for evolution). A new return to the deepest roots: the ancestral winemaking of grape varieties present in historic plots of old vineyards. Single grape variety Barcelo, has a differentiating character, famous for its aromatic delicacy and structure, but also for the history that this unique grape variety knew how to write in our past. Contains sulfites.

Grapes de-stemmed and fermented in a press with manual treading. Malolactic fermentation and prolonged aging for 20 months in new barrels (50%) using French oak. Wine stabilized naturally during aging in barrels. 3650 bottles were produced. Delicate aromas of ripe red fruit and light floral notes. Mediterranean bush, cedar, wood, mocha, spice and moss add aromatic complexity. In the mouth it proves to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting well the limestone soils from which it comes. It is simultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine, with a long finish, the result of the prolonged aging in barrels to which it was subjected. Contains sulfites.

The harvested grapes rested for 24 hours in a refrigerated container at 8º C in order to protect the integrity of the bunches. Following selection on a mat of choice, 30% destemmed and 70% whole bunches were introduced into the vat, allowing the extraction of color and aroma compounds more smoothly during 3 weeks of alcoholic fermentation entirely in stainless steel vats, having completed the malolactic fermentation. in stainless steel. After aging 50% of used 4-year-old barrels of 400 L and 225 L of French oak, where it remained for 12 months. Wine with a deep ruby-violet color, aromas of rockrose surrounded by notes of forest fruits in a typical Douro setting. In the mouth seductive with some rusticity conferred by the stems of the grapes, combined with a more intense minerality resulting in a modern, long, fine and vibrant profile. Contains sulfites.
