Depaz Port Cask Finish is matured for at least 8 years in specially selected small oak barrels. It is then finished for 11 months in Port wine casks that give it rich aromas of fig and cooked fruit. Delicately structured oak notes with vanilla, chocolate and ripe fruits. Soft oak flavor, followed by vanilla and chocolate pastry. Notes of mature Port develop, velvety with hazelnut, dried fruits, cocoa and rose jam. The finish reveals lingering notes of subtle jasmine, coffee and plum.

This rum aged for 17 years under the tropical climate before crossing two oceans for an additional four years of aging in Ferrand Cognac casks in southwestern France.
