Fermentation with controlled temperature, interrupted by addition of wine spirit. Aging in oak casks for a period of not less than 7 years. It evolves by oxidation in the same way as Port Wines with age, presenting the unique characteristics of the year of harvest. Poças Colheita 2003 is a high quality Port, coming from a single harvest, aged in hull for at least seven years. In this process, young aromas, fresh and fruity, evolve into a complex and elegant bouquet, well combined with a velvety texture and a persistent finish.

Poças 1918 is a Very Old Port Wine, specially bottled to commemorate the 100 years and to honor the region. It presents the fascinating complexity, texture and personality of the very old Port Wines. Created from the careful selection of a lot of Port Wines stored for years in Quinta das Quartas, which is now 100 years old. A smooth wine with a slightly creamy texture due to age, fresh and balanced. It has an intense color with slight greenish tones; Very complex and refined aroma in the nose. Intense aroma of molasses, spices and dried fruit. Balanced taste, perfect between acidity and sweetness. Creamy and concentrated palate with a long and persistent finish.
