Dow’s Colheita 1974 Tawny
122,69 €
The Dow ‘s harbors for many years staggered in oak casks in the old cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. This long time in barrel ensures that the wines take on almond and walnut aromas soft, losing the intense red color of their youth but gaining immense delicacy, richness and deep intensity of flavor. The word ‘Harvest’ means ‘harvest’, for Porto this word is used to describe a wine of a single year that has been aged in wood for a minimum period of 7 years. When the wine tasters judge that the wine has reached the perfect state of maturity, the Port is carefully removed from the kites and bottled. It presents an amber color, fabulous aroma of toasted almonds with notes of honey, vanilla and crystallized orange peel, with nuances of tobacco . Velvety mouth with fresh notes of orange peel and a very long final mouth. Contains sulfites.
