Quinta da Romaneira Vintage 2018 Ruby
It is aged in Portuguese and Brown oak casks for a period of 24 months. The grapes are trampled on foot in the Quinta's mills to obtain the must. They are then macerated during fermentation to obtain the best possible extraction of the polyphenolic components. Short fermentation cycle of 4 days. Quinta da Romaneira Vintage 2018, is magnificently mature, full of color, intensely fruity, expressive and with a wonderful underlying freshness. The nose is characteristic of Romaneira, wild and aromatic. The finish is long and delicate. Contains sulfites.
Quinta da Romaneira Vintage 2017 Ruby
It aged for 20 months in the cellars of Quinta, in the demarcated Douro region, before bottling. It should age in bottle for 8 to 15 years to acquire the complexity and bouquet characteristic of a vintage. The grapes were trodden and fermented in the Quinta da Romaneira presses with temperature controlled at 28 C, where an intense and disciplined step is essential for a good final result. This 2017 Vintage Port Wine is a supreme expression of this characteristic. It is a seductive wine, full of charm and wonderfully expressive, with remarkable structure and aging potential. Deep ruby purple color, intense aromatic personality with spices. Great elegance and purity of fruit flavors, velvety fleshy tannins with a very long and powerful finish.

Pacheca Colheita 1962 Tawny
Best Ports can age many years in seasoned oak casks. This prolonged time in barrel ensures that the wines take on soft almond and walnut aromas, losing the intense red colour of its youth but gaining immense delicacy, richness and profound intensity of flavour. The word ‘Colheita’ means ‘harvest’, for Port this word is used to describe a wine from a single year that has been aged in wood for a minimum of 7 years.
Niepoort Vintage 2019 Ruby
All Vintage 2019 components were trodden in granite presses with 100% stalk. The wines were transferred shortly after the harvest, aging in the Douro, in barrels, during the winter. The appearance is marked by a wonderful dark purple border and a great depth of color. The aroma is fine and moderate, with primary notes of dark fruits and some spices. The true style and potential of this wine come together on the palate, with a wonderful integration of dark fruits and a grainy tannic structure; an extraordinary balance between volume and elegance, resulting in an impressive aftertaste. In short, the primary fruit in the mouth can be appealing at this stage, but it is the balanced tannic structure that indicates the great aging potential of this wine in the future. Quinta de S. José is a family project that began in early 1999, at the will of João's father, Ruy Brito e Cunha, due to the excellent location of Quinta's houses, practically over the river. Fermented wine with partial destemming at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC) when the wort reaches the desired sweetness value, the fermentation is interrupted by the addition of aguardente (77%), later staggered in oak wood, in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia until bottled, between the 2nd and 3rd year, after being approved. Deep red color, in the nose exalts the aromas of black fruit of the forest, with touches of violet and nuances of black pepper. On the palate there is an explosion of ripe fruit combined with a high freshness, with very good tannins that give it immense life and prolongation of the mouth, a characteristic that increases its potential for aging, although it can be consumed already. Every year a small number of our best ports - of LBV quality and above - are stored in oak barrels. With an average age of 10 years, it is from the mixture of these stocks that the Quinta de la Rosa Tawny 10 Years (or Tonel 12) is born. At Quinta de La Rosa, Port wines are stored and bottled in the Douro and not in Vila Nova de Gaia, as is the case in most Houses, allowing a singular trait from picking the grape to the bottle wine. It is a rich and elegant mix with wonderful aromas that exude from the Douro. The palate is complex; reveals aromas of nuts, figs, honey and almonds and a nice and pleasant length. The wines of the Port of Quinta de la Rosa follow the traditional style: fermented with foot steps in granite wineries and stagiados in old barrels and barrels (oak barrels of 550 liters) of old wood.
