A charismatic figure who studied intensely the varieties of varieties and soil of this region. It played a key role in the expansion and development of Offley and port wine in the 19th century. Offley Tawny 20 Years Old is an intense and complex Port with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, exotic woods, plum and hazelnut, the result of its careful and long evolution in oak wood. Poças Colheita 2008 Tawny
Fermentation with controlled temperature, interrupted by addition of wine spirit. Aging in oak casks for a period of not less than 7 years. It evolves by oxidation in the same way as Port Wines with age, presenting the unique characteristics of the year of harvest. Poças 1918 is a Very Old Port Wine, specially bottled to commemorate the 100 years and to honor the region. It presents the fascinating complexity, texture and personality of the very old Port Wines. Created from the careful selection of a lot of Port Wines stored for years in Quinta das Quartas, which is now 100 years old. A smooth wine with a slightly creamy texture due to age, fresh and balanced. It has an intense color with slight greenish tones; Very complex and refined aroma in the nose. Intense aroma of molasses, spices and dried fruit. Balanced taste, perfect between acidity and sweetness. Creamy and concentrated palate with a long and persistent finish.
Poças Vintage 2016 Ruby
Ruby dense and impenetrable. Very fresh and springy nose with elegant notes of blackberry, black plum, chocolate, coffee steam, tobacco leaf and spices. The mouth is silky, enveloping, greedy, with round but firm tannins, in a profile of elegance in which stands out the strength of the fruit and the spicy notes. A contemporary vintage, domesticated and ready to drink, but that will not stop growing in bottles in the coming decades. Contains sulfites.
