Quinta de Ventozelo Essência Red
Manual harvest, starting at the end of September, with careful selection of grapes. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes underwent a double selection: manual and using an optical sorting machine, which selects berry by berry according to their size and shape. After an initial cold maceration, fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature followed. 18 months in 500 liter French oak barrels (50% new and 50% used). This wine has a deep ruby color. Aromatic complex, with a predominance of black and ripe red fruit aromas, involved with a smoky touch, as a result of the long aging in barrels. In the mouth it is vibrant, with fruit and tannins. It finishes in a persistent and slightly spicy tasting, revealing great aging potential. Contains sulfites.

The grapes were received at the winery, in the special line, with total destemming and manual selection of bunches and later “berry by berry” by an optical sorting machine. Fermentation was carried out in a press, with pre-fermentation maceration and temperature control. 12 months of partial aging in French oak barrels. Bright, open ruby color. Very expressive and fruity on the nose, reminiscent of fruit bonbon, which is prolonged during the tasting. Fresh vegetable notes also stand out on the palate, elegantly involved with silky tannins, but full of character, and balanced acidity. Contains sulfites.

The grapes were received at the winery, in the special line, with total destemming and manual selection of bunches and later “berry by berry” by an optical sorting machine. Vinification was carried out in a press, with pre-fermentation maceration and temperature control. No wooden stage. This wine shows an intense garnet color and good aromatic complexity, with lots of ripe fruit. It is a wine structured on the palate, with great smoothness and persistence. Very balanced. Contains sulfites.

The grapes were received at the winery, in the special line, with total destemming and manual selection of bunches and later “berry by berry” by an optical sorting machine. Fermentation was carried out in a press, with pre-fermentation maceration and temperature control. Internship for 18 months. This wine shows a violet color and a smooth and fruity aromatic profile. It is a complex wine on the palate, deep but delicate. The aromas of ripe fruit that can be felt in the nose also appear with subtlety in the mouth and linger at the end of the tasting. Total destemming, fermentation with some maceration in wine press, with temperature control. Stage for 12 months in French oak barrels and 10 months in stage cellar. It is a red that impresses by the contained and elegant tone, with delicate fruit very beautiful and pure, based on the wild fruits. Flavor full and vibrant, delicate but affirmative, always oriented towards the purity and delicacy of the fruit. Very long and vibrant finish. Contains Sulfites.

The grapes, after careful manual selection on the choice mat, were de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24°C and mechanical pumping over by robot for 9 days. Very focused. With balsamic notes of oak, fig, black plums and tobacco. Full-bodied, firm, ripe flavor with satin tannins. Mineral notes and a very elegant complex and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.

The grapes were crushed gently with total destemming, which was followed by the alcoholic fermentation process in a stainless steel mill, with moderate mechanical treading, ending in maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 24ºC. The wine aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. After light filtration, bottling took place and a final stage in a 30-month cellar in the bottle. Deep garnet color, good aromatic intensity to very ripe black fruits, cocoa and toasted nuts. A soft flavor with silky tannins of raisin fruit and wild berry, full-bodied but with a long-lasting freshness. Contains sulfites.
