Hugel Riesling Grossi Laue
Grossi Laüe is Alsace's equivalent of Burgundy's Grand Cru or Germany's Grosses Gewächs classification, so it's basically the best of the best. This is a fabulous example produced from a selection of the best plots of the Hugel estate in the heart of Grand Cru Schoenenbourg, an area dedicated to Riesling for centuries. Incredible richness of honey with layers of citrus fruits and very subtle spices when it starts to open up. Delicious with food or on its own.
Quinta dos Carvalhais Mélange à Trois White
The grapes were harvested by caste and field, and at the time a rigorous qualitative selection was carried out. The grapes that make up this wine were destemmed and fermented in an open press with manual treading. Malolactic fermentation and prolonged aging of 20 months in new (70%) and used barrels, both in French oak. Naturally stabilized wine during prolonged aging in barrels. 1400 bottles were produced. Complex and well-defined aroma, with notes of ripe cherry, blueberry and light floral traces. Cedarwood, forest floor, tobacco box and spice add aromatic complexity. In the mouth it proves to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting well the limestone soils from which it comes. It is simultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine, with a long and persistent finish.

Originating from the 28-55 year-old Texture vines in Vila Nova de Tazem, in the Serra da Estrela sub-region, at an altitude of 480-550 m, on granitic soils. The tear must naturally fermented in new French oak (70%) and foudre (30%) barrels. Aged for 11 months “sur lie” without batonnage, followed by 10 months in stainless steel tanks. Naturally stabilized. It is a very elegant wine, with delicate citrus aromas, mainly lemon and lime, cedar, pepper and even noticeable oak. Acidity and crunchy minerality, it shows great potential despite the concentration of old vines still young, dense and creamy. Long and pleasant finish. .
