Louis Latour Chassagne-Montrachet White
64,84 €
Chassagne-Montrachet is located south of Puligny-Montrachet on the Côte de Beaune and is one of the largest denominations of Burgundy white wine. Produces all the denominations of the village for the Grand Cru. The word Chassagne comes from the Latin cassanea, meaning oak wood or cassanus, meaning oak. Until the late nineteenth century, the main settlement of this community was known as Chassagne-le-Haut. However, in 1879, in common with other villages on the Côte d’Or, the village was allowed to change its name by replacing Le Haut by the name of its most famous Grand Cru Montrachet. The name of the village covers just over half of Chassagne-Montrachet. This wine obtained a traditional fermentation in oak barrels with complete malolactic fermentation. Aged for 8 to 10 months in oak barrels. It has a beautiful pale yellow color with shades of green. In the nose, aromas of white peach and vanilla emerge. It is broad in the mouth with soft notes of oak and a good minerality. Contains Sulfites.
