Description

Baton das Herédias Reserva Red is a Douro DOC of great character, crafted from a refined blend of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, and Old Vines. The vineyards are located along the right bank of the Távora River, in Tabuaço, with schist soils and granite outcrops, at altitudes between 250 and 470 meters.

Hand harvesting and total destemming ensure careful grape selection. Fermentation takes place in traditional lagares with foot treading for two weeks, at a controlled temperature of 17ºC, preserving the wine’s full aromatic richness. It is then aged for 8 months in used French oak barrels, adding complexity and depth.
