Quinta do Mouro Rótulo Dourado Red 2019 – Depth, Elegance and Exceptional Freshness
O Quinta do Mouro Rótulo Dourado Tinto 2019 is a wine with a distinctive personality, born in Estremoz at 450 metres of altitude under a continental Mediterranean climate with strong thermal amplitude. The schist, marble, and limestone soils contribute to its unique minerality.
This premium red blends Alicante Bouschet (40%), Aragonez (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Touriga Nacional (10%) e Trincadeira (10%), offering a harmonious balance of power, freshness and elegance.
Crafted with artisanal precision: manual harvest in 20 kg boxes, partial destemming, and foot treading in lagares for three days, followed by cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats at 24–26 °C, followed by gentle pressing in wooden baskets using a vertical hydraulic press.
It ages for 18 months in selected new 300L Portuguese oak barrels, then rests in bottle for at least 3 years before release.
Tasting notes:
Deep purple colour. The nose reveals, subtle spice notes, a light forest touch, and a distinct vegetal freshness. On the palate, it’s concentrated, smooth, and voluminous, with velvety texture, balanced tannins, and well-integrated oak. The finish is , with remarkable freshness – a true signature of the 2019 vintage.
A refined, age-worthy red that honours the character and authenticity of Quinta do Mouro.
