Quintas de Borba Grande Reserva Tinto

This wine comes from selected grapes from the oldest vineyards in the Borba region. After rigorous control of the grapes’ ripening evolution in the vineyard, upon arrival at the winery the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed, followed by alcoholic fermentation in a stainless steel lagar with mechanical treading, ending with maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 22-25ºC. Malolactic fermentation took place in a small-volume stainless steel tank. A 12-month aging in new French, American and chestnut oak barrels preceded bottling and a final 12-month aging in bottle in the cellar. Garnet color. Aroma of black fruit jam. Full flavor with soft, fruity and toasty tannins, with a fresh finish of sweet cocoa.
