Description
São José do Barrilário Reserva Red is a Douro DOC wine crafted from a traditional blend: Touriga Francesa (60%), Sousão (15%), Touriga Nacional (15%), and Tinta Roriz (10%).
The 2020 vintage delivers an intense and expressive profile, full of red and black fruits like strawberry, plum, blackberry and blackcurrant, delicately wrapped in well-integrated oak notes.
On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and spicy, with present but polished tannins and elegant hints of black pepper.
Perfect with red meats, roasted lamb or goat, traditional Portuguese dishes and soft cheeses like Serra da Estrela, Azeitão or Serpa.
Serve at 16–18 ºC
