This organic wine, a tribute to the family matriarch, is produced exclusively with Touriga Nacional grapes, grown in pebble soils that highlight the delicacy and unique character of the variety. Vinification involves careful manual harvesting, with total stemming and light crushing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel mills at controlled temperatures. The wine matures for 23 months in used French oak barrels, gaining complexity and a polished structure.
On the palate, Maria Antonieta Red reveals aromas of red fruit, sour cherry and ripe plum, complemented by touches of licorice and well-integrated wood. In the mouth, it is dense and elegant, with firm tannins and a fresh finish. Ideal to accompany meat, game, cheese and sausage dishes, this wine reveals itself even better if previously decanted. The grapes are chilled and then pressed in a pneumatic press. Cold decanting, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel barrels and vats with regular buffering up to one month before bottling. Aging 6 months in new and used French oak barrels (30% of wine) and stainless steel vats (70%), with regular bâtonnage. It is a rich and concentrated white wine, but very precisely in citrus fruit and notorious minerality. Contains Sulfites.
