Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte Tinto

The grapes, sourced from Vinha da Ponte, were carefully transported in food-grade plastic crates and subjected to a rigorous sorting at the entrance to the winery. After traditional foot treading in a lagar, the must was transferred to an open stainless steel tank with automatic plungers, where it fermented for a week under controlled temperature. Aged for 20 months in new 225-litre French oak barrels. Opaque colour with vibrant deep violet tones. Excellent aromatic complexity and intensity, with fresh aromas of Douro wild berries in perfect harmony with elegant floral notes and subtle fresh spice hints. An elegant and enveloping attack, quickly evolving into a wine of great structure and excellent power, with round, fine-textured tannins in perfect harmony with fresh Douro wild berry notes. Finishes balanced and very persistent. Contains sulphites.
