Winter in Bairrada was long, rigorous and with high precipitation, as it had already happened in 2013. A spring almost non-existent and a summer with temperatures around 30 ° C made it difficult to control diseases and maturation. In the vineyard, maturation control was started in mid-August, proving the bago and checking the sanitary aspect of the grapes. The harvest began in early September. The Poeirinho was vinified in a mill, where it was fermented for 4 weeks, ending the fermentation in a used 2500 L barrel. The malolactic fermentation took place in the same barrel, where it staged for 20 months. It was bottled without filtration. Very vivid color in shades of violet. Nose very complex, very expressive in the notes of red fruits, with a very fresh floral side. The purity of aromas and their enormous freshness impress. The calender vibrates terroir in the aroma and enhances the elegance and finesse of Baga. The palate is very fine with fantastic precision. Vertical and with great vigor, it has delicate tannins that make it very exciting to enjoy now, but thanks to very good acidity and its depth will live long decades in the basement. In order to refresh the mouth, inviting us to another glass of pure pleasure. Contains Sulfites.
