Soalheiro Nature Pur Terroir White
Biological Wine: The color and scent of Nature is intense and the taste is complex, asking to be discovered with enthusiasm. After all it is a 100% Alvarinho made without addition of sulphites, with complete alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Based on production concepts that value biodiversity, this Soalheiro is made from grapes of the Alvarinho variety. The bottling, without filtration, causes the wine in the bottle to be subject to deposit, being this deposit essential for the protection of the oxidation, facilitating a stable evolution of this Out-of-the-Box Soil. Alvarinho grapes are harvested manually in the vineyards of Quinta da Soalheiro, where we use production concepts that value biodiversity and the wine-growing ecosystem, promoting environmental sustainability. The color and aroma are intense and despite the absence of added sulfites the aroma and the flavor have minerality and fruit. flavor is complex with soft onset and round due to malolactic complete with striking and intense finish.
Luis Pato Quinta do Ribeirinho Pé Franco Red
Man has dreams. My dream 23 years ago was to create a wine that would reveal the wines before phylloxera arrived in Europe. Thus was born the name Pé Franco by what is known. I planted 1.2ha of vines of the Baga variety, as was used in pre-phylloxera Europe, directly on sandy soil - a way to avoid attacking the roots of the disease-inducing insect, given its (fortunately) aversion to this type of soil. After great anxiety, we made the first harvest in 1995, 7 years after planting. In 2010 we celebrated the fifteenth harvest of this boldness. The wine now comes from an area increased to 2.5ha. As each vine produces only one cluster, ie one glass of wine, it takes the annual work of six vines to obtain a bottle. This is due not only to the lower production of the ungrafted vine, but also due to the successive weeding that we carry out with a view to obtaining a very full wine, that can thus hide the tannins of the grape variety and the acidity characteristic of the region's climate. These are key factors to give you an aging capacity that goes beyond twenty years, making it an excellent wine to celebrate the age, marriage or other relevant event for the son or daughter, with a wine of the year of his birth . Quinta dos Murças Margem Red
Quinta dos Murças Margem, from the Douro region, staggered in barrels of 500Lts of used French oak for about 9 months. Manual harvesting, sorting table, destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures (25º to 28ºC) in granite mills with foot step and pressing in an old vertical press. Very intense and exuberant, dominated by ripe black fruits such as blackberry and cassia, balsamic aromas, such as the stew, and soft notes of spices from the used wood stage. Concentrated, it has very mature tannins that, together with its acidity, present but well wrapped, give it a sensation of volume, body and freshness. It has a very long and persistent finish, where the aromas of more mature fruits dominate, allowing to predict a great longevity. Contains Sulfites.
Soalheiro Reserva Magnum White
Alvarinho grapes are harvested manually from a selection of grapes from our vineyards in Quinta de Soalheiro, produced according to the concepts of organic farming where we protect the wine ecosystem, promoting biodiversity and environmental sustainability. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. After pressing, the decanted w decants for 48 hours, followed by fermentation and stage in (new and used barrels), remaining in the fine lees with periodic batonnage until the end of June. Intense yellow color, elegant and persistent aroma with nuances of barrel, maintaining the freshness and the fruit of the Alvarinho variety. The flavor is full bodied and complex. Contains Sulfites.
Fermentation in stainless steel vats, with controlled temperature and without malolactic fermentation. Very lively and intense on the nose, with red fruit, great freshness and length, with volume and good structure. Contains sulfites.
Soalheiro Granit Magnum White
The Soalheiro Granit reveals the more mineral side of the Alvarinho variety. It is a Alvarinho that leaves a specific selection of vineyards planted above 200 meters of altitude, revealing the minerality that relates the soil of granite origin of the terroir of Monção and Melgaço and the Alvarinho variety, improved with the batonage and the stage in the fine lees . The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual in white wines, showing an elegant and more mineral aroma with a dry and persistent finish. The Alvarinho grapes used in the Soalheiro Soalheiro come from small-sized vineyards implanted in soil of granite origin above 200 meters altitude and located in the private microclimate of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, the northernmost region of Portugal. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. Soalheiro Sauvignon Blanc / Alvarinho White
Sauvighon Blanc (70%) and Alvarinho (30%) ferment after gentle decantation in stainless steel tanks between 16 and 18ºC. In this way, a wine at the same time aromatic, with vegetable touches of Sauvignon Blanc, with a wider and mineral finish, reached by the depth of Alvarinho. A wine with a citrus color, aromatic with touches of asparagus and soft tropical, end of mouth persistent and mineral. Fish and shellfish, poultry and whole white meats. It accompanies very well grilled asparagus and vegetarian lasagne. Contains Sulfites.
Monólogo Avesso Magnum White
Monólogo Avesso P67 is a monocasta wine produced at Quinta de Santa Teresa. Avesso is cultivated in the P67 plot, using sustainable agriculture practices.
