Harvest in the 3rd week of October, in dry and hot weather – 35ºC. Balanced maturing, vintage with two choices. Fermentation in open winemaking with 20% of stink and steps on foot. 22 months of stage in new and used barrels of 400 and 700 liters. Full and opulent, perfumed with spicy notes, clay, red and black fruit, very complex, austere and elegant. Powerful but with velvety texture, very fresh acidity, long, seductive, but always serious and reserved.

Soalheiro 9% White
An intense, elegant wine with volume. Beginning at the end of August, this harvest was the earliest ever harvested in Soalheiro, but it demonstrated an exceptional balance between the fruit and the acidity of the Alvarinhos of the unique terroir of Monção and Melgaço. Alvarinho grapes without late harvest were harvested in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short period of time. The must obtained by pressing the whole grapes was decanted and fermented at low temperature. The fermentation took place in stainless steel until reaching the balance of sweetness and acidity intended and that dictated the final alcohol of this Soalheiro - 9%. Citrus and tropical notes of the Alvarinho variety with a balance of unusual acidity and sweetness.

Luis Pato Vinhas Velhas Red
Created with grapes from the Berry variety planted in clay-limestone soil, in vineyards with an average age of 40 years. Vinified in stainless steel vats for 10 days, it was matured in used (650l) pipes for 12 months. It accompanies dishes with game meat as well as other red meat dishes. It will last for more than 15 years.

Manual harvesting, pneumatic pressing of whole grapes. Cold decantation of the must for 48 hours. In contact with the lees for about 7 months. 75% of the batch in stainless steel vats and the rest in a concrete egg. Light citrus color, singular and complex aroma dominated by citrus fruits, characteristic of the Loureiro variety. Dominated by a vibrant acidity with a long and persistent finish. The history of the wines of the Casas do Côro begins with the purchase of old vineyards with more than 80 years in Marialva and evolves it by planting 9 hectares of the best white grape varieties. Marialva is a fantastic terroir at 600 meters altitude between Beira Interior and the Douro. With a common origin in the Beira interior, they share a passion for the land where they were born, for their traditions, smells and aromas, and continue to believe and bet heavily on a territory they consider unique. Casas de Côro Red Wine Reserve has a red color with lots of personality and character, fresh but vibrant and still very young and a bit wild. The Soalheiro Granit reveals the more mineral side of the Alvarinho variety. It is a Alvarinho that leaves a specific selection of vineyards planted above 200 meters of altitude, revealing the minerality that relates the soil of granite origin of the terroir of Monção and Melgaço and the Alvarinho variety, improved with the batonage and the stage in the fine lees . The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual in white wines, showing an elegant and more mineral aroma with a dry and persistent finish. The Alvarinho grapes used in the Soalheiro Soalheiro come from small-sized vineyards implanted in soil of granite origin above 200 meters altitude and located in the private microclimate of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, the northernmost region of Portugal. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. After pressing, the decanted w decants for 48 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual, using pre-selected yeasts for this purpose. The bottling takes place after the batonage and the stage in the fine lees. Citrine yellow color, aroma with the profile restrained and elegant with mineral notes and dry finish.
