Encosta da Estrela Red
Hailing from the Serra da Estrela sub-region in the heart of the Dão, Encosta da Estrela Red reflects the purity of a terroir marked by granitic soils and altitudes reaching 600 meters. This wine is born in Vila Nova de Tazem, where the continental climate and the proximity to the mountain grant a unique freshness and elegance to the vineyards, aged between 10 and 40 years.
The production follows traditional methods, with total destemming and fermentation in Algerian amphorae for about a week. To preserve the fruit’s vibrancy and the typicality of the grape varieties, the wine ages in stainless steel tanks for 12 months before being released.
