Casa Ferreirinha Tinta Francisca Red

The earliest references to the Tinta Francisca grape variety date back to 1790, locating it mainly in Ansiães and Sabrosa, in the Douro. Currently, there are only 40 hectares planted in Portugal, almost all of them in the Douro demarcated region. In this specialty from Casa Ferreirinha, elegance joins tradition to create an exceptional wine, of which only 3662 bottles were produced. It presents a ruby colour of good depth, an intense and vibrant aroma where balsamic notes of truffle, spice, wild berries, and very well-integrated wood stand out. On the palate, it is particularly expressive, with firm tannins, lively acidity, notes of spices, and a salty sensation, with a long and highly elegant finish. Contains sulphites.
