Produced in the D.O.C. Dão region, Serra da Estrela sub-region, this wine is a product of mountain climate and poor granite soils. Spontaneous fermentation occurs in granite lagares with partial stems, followed by 36 months of aging in used barrels and additional time in the bottle.
