Altano Biológico Red is an authentic expression of the Douro Superior, sourced from the Symington family’s organically certified vineyards. This sub-region, known for being the warmest and driest in the valley, provides ideal conditions for sustainable viticulture, resulting in a wine that reflects the resilience and heritage of a family present in the region since the 19th century.

The production focuses on preserving the natural potential of the grapes, with manual harvesting and rigorous bunch selection. The winemaking process takes place in stainless steel vats with individual temperature control, followed by six months of aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels, which promotes natural stabilization and the enhancement of its organoleptic characteristics.

• Aroma: Reveals a harmonious combination of floral aromas and notes of ripe black fruits, showing good intensity.
