Originating from the slopes of the prestigious Dão region, Adega de Penalva Reserva Red reflects the essence of the Penalva do Castelo terroir. This wine is born from a rigorous selection of the region’s most emblematic grape varieties, grown under the influence of granitic soils and a balanced climate, resulting in an authentic and sophisticated expression of local viticulture.
The production process involves crushing with total destemming, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. Prolonged maceration ensures the extraction of structure and complexity, culminating in a 12-month aging period in new and second-year barrels, which provides longevity and elegance.
